New World Comics is the brainchild of Leonard Kately, a self taught artist and writer who was an avid fan of both DC and Marvel Comics. Leonard hoped to one day write and draw for either company so he sent numerous letters of submission to both companies. All were either rejected or simply never corresponded with him. This dashed his prospects of ever working in the industry he so loved. Leonard then worked various jobs, never abandoning the hope of someday working in this field. Hoping to mirror the success of  the independent comics explosion brought on by Milestone, Valiant, Image, and Malibu Comics , Kately  decided to develop his own line of comics based upon characters he and his brother, Fred Kately created.  Kid Horus, The Patriots, and Black Violet were born. In 2010 Leonard launched New World Comics!
 New World Comics titles' tackles such real life subjects as race relations, ageism, terrorism, politics, the AIDS crisis, sexism, drugs, governmental cover ups,and religious intolerance all the while keeping with the excitement, action and adventure comics are known for. In addition to the titles we currently produce, we have a periodical called New World Comics Preview. And we hope to produce either a limited series or a graphic novel  featuring a team called Force-1.
  We are also hoping to develop a line of action figures based on the characters of the New World Comics' Universe. This will open the door to other ventures we hope to be a part of such as video games, web comics and motion pictures!
New World Comics is funded by sales of comics at various local comics and arts conventions, an online webstore, and through family and friends. In order to further expand into other fields such as an action figure and  toy line, video games, merchandising, and motion pictures we need donations and investors.
